Toshimichi is a Japanese filmmaker based in Tokyo, working actively on international projects. He received his MFA from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, and began his career as an assistant editor to Spike Lee. He currently works at AOI Pro.

With experience in Tokyo, New York and Ho Chi Minh City, he brings a bilingual, cross-cultural perspective to his work. Toshimichi’s signature style is a truthful depiction of human emotion, expressed through behavior rather than words.

Aside from filmmaking, he is a dad, a Doraemon fan, and a cat lover.
